Covid-19 Update

I hope this continues to find you well in these difficult times. We appreciate your cooperation in working with us at both surgeries, following our advice and guidelines to keep everyone safe. We acknowledge that the way we are working is very different to what you are used to but this is also a much changed world we are now living in.

Covid-19 update October 2021.

At Newton Clarke Vets the health and well-being of your pet, family, and our team members are top our priority. Please read the following in regards to our current processes.

Appointment policy from the 4th October 2021.
All services will be handled through a “Covid-19 safe” practice, which will entail:

  1. Pre-scheduling your appointment and bring dogs on a leash and cats in a secure carrier.
  2. Upon your arrival at the clinic, please feel free to enter the building to wait for your appointment.
  3. To manage the number of people in the waiting areas, we may advise you to wait outside or in your car if the area is overcrowded.
  4. You may choose to wait in your vehicle or outside during your pet’s examination.

Payment policy
Once the examination and treatments are complete, you may pay by cash, credit or debit card at reception.

Client COVID precautions

  • Please do not come to our clinic if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms or have a fever.
  • Please reschedule your pet’s appointment if you have tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 10 days.
  • Face coverings are essential for entry into our buildings and please attend the surgery alone wherever reasonably possible.

We value your understanding and appreciate your patience, in allowing us to provide your pets with the best healthcare during these times. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Your support is helping to keep both your pets and us healthy, together.

Kind Regards,
Matt and the team.

An update from Peter

We recently cancelled our planned 30-year college reunion (for the second year!) because of the changing international Covid-19 situation. This made me reflect on the changes in our profession and the continuing progress in our practice.

Practice News and Out of Hours update

Like many people, I’m struggling to keep up with the pace of time over the past few months. Glen’s reminders of the copy deadline for each edition of the Times seem to appear with less and less time between them, even though I know this not to be true.  Summer just slips through our fingers whereas winter sticks like mud.

Updated Emergency Out of Hours Provision

We are continuously assessing and enhancing the service we offer to both you and your pets,  ensuring that the standards you have come to expect are continually improved upon. This has prompted us to review our emergency care outside of normal hours and we have recognised that our own on-call service has become outdated.
