Our Next Open Day

Last year, our open day was a resounding success! We welcomed you in your droves to explore our, at the time, brand new purpose-built practice. A lot has changed since this time last year. Our practice has grown, not just in welcoming you as clients with your pets, but also in the services we are offering. That means our team has grown, too. With that in mind, this year, we have something a little different in store!

Open Day Details

When: Saturday, 27th September

Where: Sherborne practice

Time: 2pm – 5pm

What can you expect?

Additional Services

Our team will be running ‘talks’ on the additional services we offer, which have significantly expanded not only our in-house abilities, but also the level of care we offer your pets and the pets of neighbouring veterinary practices. These services are:

  • Laparoscopy: More commonly known as ‘keyhole’ surgery. This state-of-the-art equipment allows us to undertake certain surgical procedures (such as spaying) in a safer, less invasive way. For your pet, this can mean less pain, reduced healing times, faster return to exercise, and reduced need for post-operative medications.
  • CT scanning: Our CT scanner, affectionately nicknamed ‘Rocky’ (there is a reason behind it, inspired by the film ‘Chicken Run’ – feel free to ask our team during the open day!), has provided a new level of diagnostic ability. Pet CT scans provide us with a complete 3D picture of the inside of an animal’s body. It’s non-invasive and exceptionally useful when diagnosing a variety of conditions, as it often enables us to determine the exact cause, meaning we can provide the best treatment efficiently and effectively.
  • Dentistry: Key signs, such as bad breath, which are associated with dental problems are often accepted as the norm. As a result, our pets suffer in silence. Our Sherborne practice has a dedicated dentistry suite, which allows us to perform a variety of procedures from dental x-rays to complex extractions.
Visiting Specialists

Our visiting specialists have enabled us to bridge the gap between first opinion and referral practices. We are now able to offer a range of services through our specialist team, who regularly visit our practice. This often means that pets with more complicated conditions can continue to be treated in familiar surroundings instead of travelling to referral centres.

Our visiting specialists will be running Q&A sessions on their areas of expertise, including cardiology, advanced surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, behaviour and physiotherapy.

Behind the scenes

We know that leaving your beloved pets in our care can be a stressful time. We want to reassure our pet owners with openness. Take a look behind the scenes and learn about where your pets go when they stay with us and meet the team responsible for their care.

Throughout the day, our team will be on hand to answer any questions, introduce you to the benefits of our complimentary out-of-hours triage service, VidiVet, and chat about how our popular Pet Health Plan can support your pet’s ongoing care. The bonus is that you can enjoy complimentary refreshments whilst doing so!”

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you. Please be advised, this event is for humans only (children welcome!) to ensure no pets are overwhelmed and stressed with the busyness of the day.
