Veterinaria MRCVS

I was born in Bilboa, in the Basque region of the beautiful North of Spain. I qualified in Zaragoza in 2002 spending my last year in the Ecole Nationale Veterinaire of Toulouse, France, improving my practical skills and learning French.

After I qualified I worked in Barcelona in a small animal practice. I love languages and after few years working in Spain I wanted more and I decided to move to the UK in 2006 to improve my English and to progress my career. I joined Newton Clarke vets in 2018 after working in several other small animal practices in Somerset.

I love dogs and cats equally and in the last few years I developed an interest in small animal Ophthalmology and I intend to develop this interest further in the next few years .

Outside work, I have two children Jon and Nora that keep my very busy.I still have the opportunity to improve my limited large animal skills as my partner Jason and I keep cattle and sheep.

I have two fantastic dogs, Poppy and the “old boy” Harry. Both are great working and loving family dogs.

In my spare time (I rarely have any!), I like reading and enjoy walking in the lovely British countryside and along the beaches (weather permitting!).
