I started veterinary nurse training in March 2022 and am currently working towards being a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I joined Newton Clarke Vets straight after school, having regularly volunteered throughout my school holidays. Work experience led to a full-time apprenticeship. I completed my Animal Nursing Assistant Certificate in 2022.
I’ve still got lots to learn but at the moment I’m interested in prepping patients and scrubbing into surgery’s where I enjoy supporting the veterinary team with all that they need. I love all things rabbits and caring for our inpatients.
I’m from Yeovil, where I grew up on our family’s farm. Of course, there were always lots of animals around including 10 ‘pet’ sheep. Now I look after; 2 dogs called Widget and Tinker; 3 cats that’s Tigger, Blue & Dexter; 3 cheeky rabbits; and 1 Eastern Turtle.
When I’m not busy with that lot, I like to restore classic cars with my dad and I’m a navigator for Comp Safari Rallies, also with my dad.
