Having always been an animal lover, Veterinary Nursing was the obvious career choice for me.
In 2013 I volunteered at Quantock Veterinary Hospital as an Animal Care Assistant before securing a veterinary nursing training placement.
After qualifying in 2017 I travelled to Costa Rica to work with Howler monkeys and other wildlife, which was a great experience!
Since then, I have been working at Newton Clarke Vets. I enjoy all aspects of nursing, but I particularly enjoy anaesthesia and general nursing. At the end of 2021 I became Head Nurse and feel very privileged to lead and support such a dedicated and talented nursing team. I am hoping to underpin this relatively new role with a leadership and management course to further develop my skills in this area.
I have a black and white cat called Reggie who keeps me very entertained at home. I enjoy keeping active, snowboarding, and travelling as much as possible.
