Full-time Receptionist

Newton Clarke Veterinary Surgeons are a progressive, proudly independent, small animal practice with two surgeries, caring for cats, dogs, and small mammals in a sustainable way, across Yeovil and Sherborne. 

We are looking for a full-time receptionist to join our continually growing Team & Practice.

  • 4 days per week including approximately 1 weekend in 10
  • 28 days annual leave (incl. Bank Holidays)
  • Benefits include Private Medical Insurance, a Medical Cash Plan and own pet discount.
  • Pay of ÂŁ12 per hour (or a comparable salary).

 

Receptionist Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting owners
  • Dealing with owner queries, including triage
  • Answering telephones, responding to emails and Petsapp
  • Taking payments
  • Booking appointments
  • Dispensing medication
  • Other administration duties.

Veterinary Nurse.

We are an independently owned, well-established Small Animal Veterinary Practice located in both Yeovil & Sherborne. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding levels of service and care for both clients and patients alike, whilst encouraging dynamic thinking amongst our team. 

Due to the continued growth within both Practices, we are now looking for both full-time and part-time Veterinary Nurses to join our team.  Anyone applying must be motivated, compassionate and personable.

We are an approved Training Practice with a keen interest in career development and supporting our team.

The successful candidate must be;

  • A Registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Able to work autonomously, work well within a team and take initiative.

 

Full-time employment consists of 36 hours over a 4-day working week with 1 in 8 weekend days and 7 weeks annual leave. Part-time hours are negotiable. 

There is no out-of-hours work with this role.

Veterinary Surgeon.

We are small animal vets and have two branches five miles apart. We have a spacious, modern, purpose-built surgery in Yeovil and a well-established, well-respected surgery in the beautiful market town of Sherborne; we will be relocating our Sherborne Surgery to another purpose-built Practice in the summer of 2024. 

We are looking to grow our team from 8-9 full-time equivalent vets.

Full-time employment consists of a 4-day week with a designated day off plus 1 in 8 Saturdays (9am-2pm) and Sundays (9am-12pm). 

There is no out-of-hours with this role, we outsource our OOH to a designated 24hr provider.

We encourage CPD and offer a generous budget – we currently have three vets with certificates in multiple disciplines and a further three enrolled on certificates. 

Our financial package includes a salary of ÂŁ45-65k dependent on experience and a generous holiday allowance of 7 weeks annual leave. We also offer full Private Medical Insurance and a BHSF CashPlan Scheme to all of our team.
