Darcie Wood

I studied at Hartpury University in Gloucester for four years before moving to Abingdon Oxfordshire, where I worked at a small animal practice for a couple of years before joining Newton Clarke Vets.

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, however if I had to pick, I am most interested in nurse clinics, wound care and theatre work. In the near future I would like to develop my learning with a certificate in animal behaviour.

At the weekends, I like nothing better than a good family walk and pub lunch with my husband Mike and two daughters Adalyn and Aliza.  We have a very special 3-legged black cat called Elvis, whose nickname is “The Prince”. Despite having 3 legs, nothing stops Elvis and he keeps us all very entertained.
