After graduating from Edinburgh University in 2009 I spent a few years working in mixed practice in North Cornwall. Having decided to focus on small animals, I moved to work at a busy small animal hospital based in Plymouth where I started studying for my Certificate. Following a brief spell as a locum in central Scotland, I moved to work at a referral centre in West Cornwall where I completed my Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. I joined Newton Clarke Vets in 2019, working predominantly out of the Yeovil branch.
I have a special interest in surgery, performing more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. I am also interested in anaesthesia/analgesia and all things feline!
Growing up in North Somerset, my interests include cycling, triathlon, and dinghy sailing. I compete at national and international level and have represented Great Britain in triathlon. I also enjoy time at home with my husband, cat, and indoor jungle!
Tilly is my much-loved cat, who I took on when I first qualified. She mostly enjoys spending the day sleeping and the night waking me up, as well as hissing at the neighbour’s cats.
