Visiting Specialists and Expanding Capabilities

Our practice has always prided itself on being progressive. In a previous blog, we covered the expanding capabilities of our team specifically. It should be expected to have modern, diagnostic equipment in a 21st-century veterinary practice. We also have a team who strive to expand their knowledge, specialisms and capabilities. This enables us to provide the best service for your pets. In addition, we have grown our trusted network of visiting specialists. For the more complex cases, your pet can receive the treatment they need without being referred elsewhere, in most cases. This is only being enhanced by our latest venture – our new, purpose-built Sherborne practice.

Capabilities

Our surgeries have always been equipped with modern diagnostic equipment. This has included:

  • State-of-the-art blood machines
  • Digital X-ray
  • Ultrasonography
  • Video endoscopy
  • Electrocardiography (ECG)
  • Multi-parameter units for anaesthetic monitorin
  • …to name just some, but soon, we will be taking that one step further.

Our new Sherborne practice will also be home to a dedicated dental suite and a CT scanner. More importantly, we also have the experience among our team to interpret, utilise and act on the information. This means we can cater for almost every eventuality presented to us as veterinary surgeons.

Visiting Specialists

Our relationship with our visiting specialists serves to lend their expertise ‘in-house’ where necessary. It expands the scope of cases we can manage in-house. Referral centres are often located some distance away. This means our clients and neighbouring practices have a bridge to utilise between first opinion practice and a referral centre.

As we approach our new practice opening, we’re excited to announce our open day. We look forward to welcoming you to have a sneak peek before your pets. Our team will be on hand throughout the day for:

  • Meet and greets
  • Practice tours of our new facilities
  • Team talks / answering any questions you may have.
  • In addition, we’ll be providing some children’s activities to educate the future pet owners of tomorrow. We will cover how best to care for their pets
  • Refreshments will be provided too!
